What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Data collection is conducted in order to provide the core services of Backyard Bet to its users, and may utilize artificial intelligence (which interacts with user data) for the same. Backyard Bet collects data from users only in a manner consistent with User consent and/or in a manner that serves a legitimate public interest.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

We collect name, address, organization, email address, phone number and other information that visitors provide and this data is shared and contained in Backyard Bet ‘s marketing and sales automation systems. We keep form submission information indefinitely. The information you provide will be used for marketing purposes by Backyard Bet. The information will not be shared with third parties.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Website, App, and  Service and hold certain information.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our Website or App, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete such personal information from our records. Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents who have an established business relationship with us may choose to opt out of our sharing their contact information with third parties for direct marketing purposes. The Website and App servers are operated in the United States.
